This depends on the country where your license was issued, and the location where you are going to rent the vehicle, motorbike or powersport. Usually, if your license is not written in the language of the country where you are planning to rent, then it’s a good idea to assume you need an IDP.

You should always make sure to research with your license country of issue about the legal requirements of driving abroad.

In Dominican Republic your driver’s license is valid up to 3 months from your arrival date. 

You can see the required drivers permit on the details page for every powersport. These requirements may vary from country to country, as each have different traffic laws.

The requirements for each vehicle will be found on the listing, but the most common are:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Cash or a credit card for a security deposit

Every listing details what is included with the rental. This could be from a helmet all the way to liability insurance. Always check for available add-ons on the vehicle page or description.

Once you have picked the powersport you would like to rent, make sure you have the correct dates and proceed to check-out by creating an account.

During check-out, you will pay the booking fee which is 15% of the total rental price. The remaining amount must be paid when you pick up the vehicle.

If you would like to list a vehicle, you will need to email is the following documents:

• Vehicle owner identification
• Vehicle registration (Where it is confirmed that you are the owner of the vehicle)
• Circulation permit (if required)
• Valid vehicle insurance
• Images of the vehicle

Once this information has been confirmed, you will receive another email with a document detailing what is required on your behalf to rent the vehicle.
